106 Nigeria’s freed Chibok girls to return home

Late last year, 21 out of the 270 Chibok girls who were abducted by Boko Haram in 2014 were released, bringing it to a total of 106 girls that have been released.

In a news conference, the minister of women affairs, Aisha Jummai Alhassan, said: “All the 106 girls are now fully recovered, ready for re-integration with their families and the larger society, and to go back to school,” “…They are now stabilised and most of their traumatic stress disorder symptoms have been overcome and previously frequent incidents of flashbacks, insomnia and nightmares have now been successfully brought under control,”
