The Washingtonpost reports that the legal analyst, Andrew Napolitano, has been pulled from the air over his unsubstantiated claim that British intelligence officials spied on Trump at the request of President Barack Obama. Napolitano’s report was read by President Donald Trump who then used it in attacking ex-president Obama on Twitter, calling him “bad or sick guy”. The U.S State Department has since confirmed that there was indeed no wiretapping of Trump Tower, at least, during Obama’s administration.

However, up till now, Trump has refused to back off from the debunked wiretapping claim. Even during Angela Merkel’s visit to the white house, Trump said that at least, he has something in common with Merkel (referring to both of them being wiretapped by Obama).
