After Marine Le Pen, Vladimir Putin’s favorite lost to Emmanuel Macron in the 2017 France presidential election, Emmanuel Macron was sworn in as France president on ‎Sunday, ‎14 ‎May, ‎2017. The new President ran a campaign in which he vowed to unite a country with deepening divisions.

Macron who is just 39-yr-old is a banker with no political experience. He founded his political party known as “En Marche” on 6 April 2016, which is just a year ago. Macron has now taken the world by surprise by winning the presidential election and becoming the youngest President in France after Napoleon.

Macron said he will likely give his wife, Brigitte Trogneux, an official role in his government.
