Explosions has struck two Christian churches in Egypt. This happened on a day that worshippers had gathered to celebrate Palm Sunday. The perpetrators are believed to be Muslims. There has been incessant violence against Christians in the country. The question is – Why are Muslims not ready to accept other religions? 40 worshippers as well as police officers were reportedly killed in the blast and a lot of others were injured. The blast which took place in the northern town of Tanta was said to be more severe. IS has claimed responsibility for the two blasts.

A similar incident happened in December when one IS bomber killed 28 people in an attack on a chapel in the grounds of St. Mark’s Coptic Cathedral in Cairo. The president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, has declared a state of emergency as a result of the blasts.
