President Trump has backed a new immigration bill that would allow only skilled immigrants who can speak English to get a residency green card in the United States. The bill will undermine those who are related to foreigners already living in the U.S. The bill was sponsored by Senators Tom Cotton of Arkansas and David Perdue of Georgia.
Tom Perez, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee quickly criticized the move saying: “Instead of catching criminals, Trump wants to tear apart communities and punish immigrant families that are making valuable contributions to our economy. That’s not what America stands for.”
