Last month, Israel gave about 40,000 Africans just 90 days to leave the country or face imprisonment. Now, Israeli authorities have begun distributing deportation notices to thousands of African migrants who are still living in the country. The government reiterated in the letters distributed that the migrants now have 60 days to accept the offer to leave the country for an unnamed African destination in exchange for $3,500 and a plane ticket.
1st of April has been set as the deadline for the African migrants to comply or get imprisoned. Jewish migrants in other countries are scared that the deportation plan would damage their image. Groups of pilots, doctors and Holocauset survivors also see the plan as unethical.
