Larry Nassar, the disgraced former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor has been sentenced to 40 to 125 years in prison. Judge Janice Cunningham sentenced Nassar after finding him guilty of assaulting girls during medical appointments at Twistars Gymnastics Club in Dimondale, Mich. Larry Nassar is believed to have made love with almost 300 girls against their wish for years. His victims demand investigations into organizations they say enabled Nassar to continue molesting girls over years, including Michigan State University and the United States of America Gymnastics.
While delivering the judgement, Judge Cunningham said to Nassar: “You are a doctor, you took an oath to do no harm, and you have harmed over 256 women and that is beyond comprehension.”
In December, 2017, Nassar was sentenced to 60 years in prison on three federal charges of child abuse. Nassar who is facing a lifetime in prison, pleaded guilty to both the federal and state charges as part of plea agreements.
