The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks in Iran which killed at least 12 people and many others wounded when gunmen and suicide bombers storm Iran’s parliament and the shrine of its revolutionary leader.
Before the announcement by ISIS, this was already known to Iran because Iran government has said that the attackers who killed 12 people in the capital, Tehran, were Iranians who had joined so-called Islamic State.
According to police, all the attackers were killed. What is not clear at this point is the fact that Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards has accused Saudi Arabia and the US of being behind the attacks.
