Hundreds of casualties have been reported from the bomb explosion which took place in the diplomatic area where foreign embassies are located in Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghanistan’s president has confirmed that the suicide truck bombing in the heart of the capital killed more than 150 people. Initially, about 80 people were thought to have died in the attack.
The explosion is said to have damaged houses that are even located hundred meters away from where the blast occurred. The attack in which a tanker was packed with explosives took place during morning rush hour.
BBC has confirmed that one BBC’s Afghan driver was killed in the attack. Meanwhile, Afghan president, Ghani has condemned the attack.
