The so-called orphaned 19-year-old Florida school shooter with a troubled past, who was charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder surprisingly said that he decided to hide among students as they were fleeing the campus fearing for their lives after the massacre. He made this revelation after he was being questioned for hours by state and federal authorities, following the deadliest school shooting in the United States in five years.
Lots of wounded survivors were hospitalized as bodies were recovered from inside and around Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where Nikolas Jacob Cruz shot into five classrooms. According to the interrogating officers, Cruz confessed to being the shooter. The police further reported that Cruz, who was arrested and held without bond, purchased the rifle in February 2017.
