Due to the report that Syrian government has used chemical weapons on civilians, president Donald Trump ordered military strike on the Syrian air base from which the chemical weapon attacks were initiated. Shortly after Trump gave the order, about 60 cruise missiles were launched on various military targets in the air base. Trump said the strike was in the “vital national security interest” of the U.S. It is being speculated on social media that unlike his predecessor, Trump does not have time for fruitless negotiations.

While briefing reporters shortly after the attack in retaliation for a gruesome chemical weapons attack was launched, the secretary of state, Tillerson, says Russia has either been complicit or “simply incompetent” in failing to deliver on its end of the agreement.
