President Trump’s personal lawyer, John Dowd, told Washingtonpost that before firing FBI director James Comey, the president knew in late January, 2017 that then-national security adviser, Michael Flynn had lied to the FBI by giving them the same inaccurate account he provided to Vice President Pence about a call with the Russian ambassador. Flynn’s lie was blown open by U.S. intelligence who intercepted the phone call between Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
